Check out this crazy new interchange coming to Lacey. We talked about this just a couple years ago.  It’s pretty clever.

Looks like initial engineering is getting ready to start on this project.   I can’t help but wonder though, the timeline calls for final design by 2017, construction in 2018 to start and completed in 2020.

I know I am a software guy, and I don’t really get the scale of these projects, but often they seem like more red-tape than actual progress.

Why is WSDOT reconstructing the I-5 and SR 510 interchange in Lacey?To accommodate planned development adjacent to the interchange, the City of Lacey developed preliminary plans for a new I-5 and SR 510 interchange. The city was key in obtaining funding from the State Legislature as part of the Connecting Washington Transportation package
